The Solly4President Movement has received the High Court judgment for the case that was heard in September 2023. The senior counselor and advocate in charge of the matter are currently studying the judgment. As the legal team, they will advise the movement, the President, and Ms. Ria Ledwaba about the next legal move.
We also noted the comments by SAFA from their website and newsletter and the report by SAFA senior counsel in News24. Although we believe that both the judgment and their view are a bit out of sync with the original application and prayers (which is what is being studied by the legal team), they are fully within their rights to celebrate the judgment as it is in there.
The President is also aware of the next moves from SAFA and is preparing for them. In the coming week, the President will be providing feedback to his supporters, first in Tshwane and then thereafter, countrywide. A clear direction will be provided in these consultative engagements.
The campaign is still on. President Mohlabeng will be in gear for the 2026 elective Congress, regardless of what happens. However, the details of how the campaign will proceed will be communicated after the consultative engagements.
The mission of bringing football back into the hands of the people of South Africa remains.
